Sunday

Bonjour!

Today was a much-needed day of leisure for us.  We went for walks and Baz had a paddleboard this morning. It was once again a beautiful day.
We are very close to bars and restaurants at Baie des Citrons. We often hear loud music going on for hours at the weekend but last night there was a party just below my room which went till just after 4am! What a night! There is no way you would be able to have music, shrieking and screaming going on for so long during the night in NZ!  I was shattered this morning.  Bill had slept with his ear phones in his ears and Baz still had a blocked ear since snorkelling on Friday and he slept on his good ear. Needless to say, they slept like babies and missed the lot!!

We went to get some supplies this afternoon so that Bill could cook up some of the snapper he and Baz caught yesterday. It was delicious! We had also been given the remains of the chocolate dessert from last night's dinner as well so............. all in all a fantastic meal tonight.

Here is the view from Baie des Citrons at sunset tonight as a cruise ship leaves Noumea.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning to hear all about the weekend's escapades.  We leave the school by bus at 7.30am for our mayoral reception and then a day at Daniel Talon primary school - a full-on day for all of us.

Au revoir from the TIS travelling crew after our sun-filled, hot weekend!
