Group work - Jonty looks as though he's had a hard night on it!
Giving their presentation to the group with their billet.
These two are like two football peas in a pod! Such a good match.
Our car the school has got for us to use.
It's a brand new Chevvy and quite smart we thought. We got in - with Baz driving I might add - and sat in it for ages trying to work out how to get the side mirrors out! We got a few weirdo looks as people probably wondered what on earth we were doing as hands kept coming out the window in the rain trying to push the mirrors out. We tried every button and stalk on the car before we worked out that they were just stiff and you had to do it by hand. Greenhorns! We got into the wrong lane as soon as we left the school and had to go right around the block to come back and get in the right lane, then shot off onto the wrong side of the road at the intersection! It takes a bit to get into the swing of things with left hand drive! Outside the school is chaotic when school finishes but especially on a wet day. A huge percentage of kids get picked up from school and although there are many little Peugeots and the like on the roads here, most Jean Mariotti College parents seem to favour thumping great Remuera tractors or big utes. We were definitely the greenhorn kiwis today!
Tomorrow is another day...................
